Haas-Meincke - the history

Understanding the needs of manufacturers brought success

At the beginning, there was a device that could shape dough pieces and put them onto baking tins. It was this so-called ”Pressmaster“ which brought success to the brothers Paul and Per Erik Meincke in 1953 by selling it to smaller bakeries. Understanding the needs of manufacturers in Scandinavia finally brought Meincke to the top of the world market.

 

Haas entered the biscuit business already in 1986 with the acquisition of the company Hecrona which was focused on production equipment for hard dough and sandwich biscuits and snack products.

 

In 2009, the biscuit machinery specialist Meincke became part of the Haas Group. With the integration of Meincke the product portfolio was completed.

 

Since 2012 the competence center for the biscuit business is located in Copenhagen, where there are also the Tech Center and the short dough biscuit and the cake engineering, whereas the hard dough biscuit and cracker engineering is based at the Haas-Meincke Austria GmbH in Leobendorf.
