International Trainee program

Our international trainee program is directed at dedicated college graduates with a degree in technology. They must possess above-average qualifications and wish to assume a role of leadership and responsibility within the HAAS Group for the medium term. Our trainee program is a career path that carries weight with numerous Haas corporations around the world.

We are especially targeting students from the fields of mechanical engineering, electrotechnology, mechatronics or industrial engineering.

During this exciting time as a trainee, you will be able to learn firsthand from an industrial company that enjoys worldwide success and plot the course for your future. You will get to know our company from the ground up, assume responsibility quickly, and purposefully expand your strengths.

Here's what you can expect

Our trainee program teaches you about all relevant areas of our company. In a period of 21 months, you will pass through the core elements of the program, which consist of 6 blocks of 3 or 4 months each. You will get to know the entire value creation chain and will be active in the departments of production, engineering, project management and service. This multiple job rotation within the HAAS Group exposes you to the diverse task areas – practically and from various perspectives.

9 months of your training will be spent abroad, in one of our branches (China, Denmark, the Netherlands or Brazil). You will work independently on one or more projects for the length of the trainee program.

We aim to systematically prepare you for a responsible assignment within our corporation. We do this by including you in operative daily business and making you responsible for pre-defined projects. As part of this process, you will be given ongoing professional and personal guidance by a mentor from your respective target area and country of origin.

During your time as a trainee, you will participate in intensive training sessions. These will include diverse professional training measures, personality development training, and language courses as part of foreign deployment, as well as business and project management training.

Here's what we expect

We expect our future trainees to possess an above-average degree of higher education in a technical area (University or technical college studies in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, procedural or electrotechnology), including some initial experiences abroad during your studies. Ideally, you will have recently completed your studies, are still writing a thesis or taking exams, or have already had a maximum of two years of professional experience.

Due to the strong international orientation of the Haas Group and global cooperation, written and spoken fluency in business English is a basic prerequisite for your successful application. If you speak other languages as well, even better.

As a Haas trainee, you will bring readiness to travel and flexibility to the table. Moreover, you will often have the chance for international employment after your trainee program has ended.

As an ideal candidate, you will have a globally open personality, with a great deal of communicative ability and possess creativity and a willingness to learn as well. You will impress us with your innovative and entrepreneurial mindset and show us your commitment with a hands-on mentality.
