Haas leads the way at Bakery China

Bakery China was established to serve the entire value chain for the bakery and confectionery industry. Held in Shanghai every year, the event caters to industry professionals and buyer delegations seeking to gain new insights into latest innovation, manufacturing expertise, R&D, product applications and much more.

 

At this year's event in May, Bakery China's floor space was further increased to 165,000 sqm in order to meet the Chinese bakery market's steadily increasing demand. According to the organisers, Bakery China offered 102,551 visiting professionals the opportunity to learn and network.

 

For Haas Food Machinery in Shanghai, the target audience at Bakery China were the manufacturers of baked food products. Machines from three Haas business units were exhibited at the show.

 

Haas-Meincke exhibited a cut-sheet laminator, two gauge roller pairs, rotary cutter, DGF (direct gas-fired) oven module and an IFC (indirect forced convection) oven module. The Haas-Meincke Cracker Line was the focus of promotion as a special campaign will take place this year.

 

The EWB-LIZARD wafer stick baking oven, including a double-color depositing system, batter and cream cart, a collecting table and a PHP-EWB pillow stick crimper were showcased. The Franz Haas Wafer production line was connected to the tailor-made SPIDER monitoring system.

 

Two TURTLE wafer baking machines and a lab cone baking machine were exhibited by Franz Haas CFT.

 

Haas Food Machinery wanted to offer live baking sessions with the delicious taste and aroma of fresh products to the exhibition environment. "Ice cream cone machines are new to the show and in combination with ice cream from the freezer, we provided the exhibition audience with a pleasant way to taste the ice cream cone right out of our machine," explained Yvonne Yao, Marketing Manager Haas Food Machinery Shanghai.

 

"We also installed a corner especially for the service department and the SPIDER monitoring system. This was to echo the campaign we’d prepared for our service department. Our target is that service shall include actively approaching the customer instead of staying in the background. We presented our service competence and improve our service efficiency," she said.

 

Ten years Haas in China

The booth was also filled with element of “Haas in China for ten years” in celebration of Haas activity in the Bakery and Confectionery market in China.

 

Excellent visibility and visitor numbers

For this year's event, the Haas booth was open on all four sides. "In order to optimize visitor flow, we erected the C-Line machines close to the main stream of visitors on the aisle next to the reception desk and live baking with ice cream cones and waffles on the other side. The SPIDER monitoring and service area was our new feature for this exhibition, so we placed it between the live baking area and the 'Ideation' room," explained Yao.
