Pancakes are produced on specifically developed automatic baking ovens. At the oven head the batter is poured onto the lower plates of heated baking plate pairs. Then, the baking plates close and travel through the oven. After one turn, the baking plates open again at the oven head and the baked pancakes are taken off by rotating arms or a vacuum drum.
For producing pancakes at very high capacities, two ovens are arranged behind each other. In the first oven, the pancakes are baked on one side, then they are flipped over and transferred to the baking plates of the second oven.
