The GEKKO wafer production line is a cost-efficient and convenient "entrance ticket" to the wafer business. It was designed to meet the requirements of

• small-scale producers, who want to extend their business,
• and of producers who are new to the industrial production of wafers and have no or only limited knowledge about wafer production technology.

Such producers may not want to, or cannot, invest much into sophisticated equipment though they are well aware of the importance of quality to keep downtime and spare parts demand low. The answer to this is GEKKO - a standardized complete set of easy-to-operate machines tuned to each other and supplied within very short delivery times.

Despite lower investment, wafer producers can still be sure to work with durable high-quality equipment manufactured in accordance with the same stringent quality standards as they are applied to all other Haas machines.

The fully automatic GEKKO production lines are available in two versions with capacities of up to either 120 kg or 185 kg of cream-filled wafer fingers per hour.

The machine package comprises

• the baking oven as lead machine and core piece of the line,
• a batter mixer,
• a wafer sheet cooler,
• a cream spreader/wafer book builder,
• a wafer book cooler
• and the wafer book cutter.

Haas not only supplies and commissions the production equipment but also offers technology services to assist customers in raw material selection and recipe development.
