The organizers of the IBA 2009 could be satisfied with the number of visitors. Altogether about 79,500 people (+4.5 % compared to 2006) from 150 countries took a look at the products displayed on the Duesseldorf fairground. The non-German share was around 55 %. 1,059 exhibitors from 55 countries presented their portfolio during 7 days. The exhibition focused on energy-efficient ovens and cooling technologies as well as on improved ingredients.

Also for the Haas group the IBA was very successful. Haas showed the following machines on 300 m2:

• the flat wafer production line GEKKO
• the sandwiching machine SWM2V
• a high-speed depositing system from Haas-Mondomix
• a fat cream production line from Haas-Mondomix
• and the HMH CapperTM/HMH DepositorTM System, developed in a joint-venture from Haas-Mondomix and Houdijk Holland

We recorded a large number of visitors at our booth on each of the 7 exhibition days. A big part of the interested people came from China and Russia, but also the USA and of course Germany were represented. Besides our existing customers we had also the pleasure to welcome many new guests.

The interests of the visitors focused on wafers and biscuits, but also in the field of convenience food there were specific inquiries regarding waffles. Furthermore, innovative end products and their variations and fillings, respectively, were discussed.

The next IBA will take place from 28th of September to 3rd of October 2012 in Munich.
